Vegetable plants died in metal container?
I put some potting mix in a galvanized stell tub and planted some chilli, capsicum and a few other things, and they just would not grow, they died eventually. I watered them.
Can anyone tell why they think this occurred, I think it may have been to do with the galvanize from the metal container contaminating the soil.......
I grow plants and herbs in galvanized tubs, with success. Are there any holes in the bottom of your tub? If not, that is the problem, you have no drainage and the water you put in there is not going anywhere, just making a mucky mess in the bottom and suffocating your plants.
