Pool Water
I have a above ground swimming pool and the water has turned white. A fine film covers the bottom.filter 24/7?
Abopve ground swimming pool. Water is turned white. Filter running 24/7.m Cleaning filter all the time. Fine film of silt??? on floor of pool but i keep sweeping pool and raising it off floor but hardly any difference.

It sounds like your pool Pump is not working. How old is your pool? I have owned an above ground pool and an inground pool and one thing i have learned about them both is, if you are maintaining Chemicals correctly and its still not cleaning, your pump is gone..I have also found out that an Automatic Chlorinator is the best thing you can buy for your swimming pool. Once a week all you do is add the Chemicals, usually the tablets, and it will do the rest for you. I had to hardly do any cleaning after I had it installed.
We often invaded by the slippery surface in our pool caused by moss and algae build ups. These build ups is the effect of our pool not being cleaned properly without the right maintenance. And these problems are the most irritating to keep away from our pool. Because of keeping the pool exposed to the open air and dirt along with the weather, it can cause a contamination that allows the algae and moss to build in the place that has a high density moist specially the walls and the pool coping.
Keeping out the algae and moss away from your pool is not that easy, you need the regular maintenance of your pool starting with cleaning the poolside and then the pool itself. Pool floors can also be with these problems, in such time, water in your pool should be drained out in order to have a full pool cleaning and keep your pool from bacteria and moss. Use a high quality pool cleaner and a much recommended pool chemical with the right percentage of chemicals.
With the walls of your pool, you need to brush it up specially those places that already have the slippery surface. Deep cleaning is required to keep moss and algae build ups. And after cleaning the walls and floors, make sure that before you fill your pool with new line of water that its moss and algae free. Take some pool chemicals specially chlorine to the pool and let it mixed up with the water with the designated amount of chemicals according to the water capacity of the pool.
And always keeping it covered when not in use is a great benefit for the cleanliness and beauty of your pool. Always remember to clean your pool regularly to fight moss and algae build ups that might bring bacteria. And use the right equipment and materials in cleaning your pool to avoid accidents.
