I have a project for American government and i need to interview people that have been in the us navy?
1. What is life like in the navy and what kind of things you experience?
2. How do you feel about the people that burn the American Flag and when people refuse to stand for the Pledge Allegiance in school.
3.What are you feelings on september 11 and the Current War on Terrorism?

1) Life in the Navy I guess isn't too different than life in any other branch. The day you enter bootcamp the instructor's job is to break down individualism to reform the division into a single entitiy if you will. Everyday life in the states involves 8 hour work shifts, 3 in all, and extra duty assignments which include various adminstrative and guard work. Life on the seas is much different, but I myself am not very familiar with due to no on-ship experiences. Overall you learn a new appreciation for those who serve in combat zones, and those who make a career out of the military. As for myself, it just wasn't for me.
2) Honestly I feel hurt, angered, and even confused about people who burn the flag or refuse to stand for the pledge. But at the same time I remember, they can do these things for one reason...the men and women who have fought and died for this nation, whethere here at home or in some god-forsaken wasteland.
3) September 11 left more questions than answers, and I am one of many who feel that the current government is still hiding something from that day. What our government call "War on Terrorism" has been misused and abused in my eyes. We did find somewhat solid evidence linking Al Quaida and the Taliban to 9/11, however we overstepped our boundries through the invasion of Iraq with nothing to go by but the words of Operative "Curveball" who was a turncoat from Desert Storm. His intel from a decade ago was no longer viable, therefore used to give false pretenses for a war, which I feel, has turned into a new Cold War. We're not fighting terrorism if we invade a nation that has not attacked us or our allies, we're commiting it. This is how the world sees it, why can't we?
Overall my experience in the navy was an eye opener. There are many things that need to be improved, but our servicemen and women give their all to protect their country.
This is the land of the free because of the brave.
